"Soma" means body and somatic yoga (somatic flows) uses a technique that focuses on the body sensations as you move slowly to release tension held in the body.
The program was developed by Thomas Hanna who said:
"The bodily decrepitude presumed under the myth of
aging is not inevitable. It is, by and large, avoidable
and reversible. I am convinced that everyone can avoid
the loss of bodily function which is the curse of

Somatic Workshops at Goodman Community Center and Fitchburg Senior Center were a huge success. We will scheduled additional workshops. Watch for future workshops.
Easy Yoga Plus!" instructors, Ellen Millar and Linda King. Both teachers are constantly learning new ways to "age gracefully". They love offering workshops and sharing ideas. Workshops are educational and good venues to connect with other older adults.
